Your Maker is Your Helper

Where do you look for answers?

Where do you go to find help?

Today we live with so much information, so much knowledge available to us at the touch of our finger tips. The resources are endless.

But how do you decide which buttons to press?

How do you determine what information to read?

How do you choose what answers to believe?

With such easy access to information and so many options available…what is the filter in your mind that determines whether or not the information is true, or whether the answer is right for you?

Now if your situation is a product that needs repair or understanding of how to use it, then looking for the answers is best found in going to the maker of that particular product.

If you are having trouble with your I-phone you may try to fix it yourself by doing a reset. If that doesn’t work, you may ask your friends or google and find there are specific settings that need to be changed. These can be helpful for many of your phone issues, but what do you do when none of these answers work? Oh no! Not the Genius Bar at the Apple Store! Now that requires a lot more time and effort. You may need to be without your phone for awhile until there is an open appointment! But once you are there you will find those who have been trained in the knowledge and understanding of the I-phone. They have diagnostics available that can determine the problem and can offer a solution. And if they can’t solve the problem they have the power to give or sell you one that works.

The maker is the one who knows the product!

The maker has the power to fix the product!

And so, it brings me to my point.

Who made you?

This is a question that the enemy of your soul never wants you to answer correctly. He shrouds it with lies that breed confusion, he redefines it as you give power to the hurts and disappointments of others, and he uses the intellect and wisdom of this world to deceive so that you never really understand the one true answer to this question.

Because when you know the answer to this question, and you live fully convinced of its truth, you will always find the answers you are searching for, and always receive the help you need!

“Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his.    We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” Psalm 100:3

If you believe God, the Creator of heaven and earth, the One who spoke and everything came into existence is the One who knit you together, and formed every part of you in your mother’s womb…

If you believe God placed you exactly where He wanted you to be, at this specific time, to fulfill His purposes here on earth…

If you believe that God is the One who holds your being together, gives you every breath, and has every one of your days written before even one came into being…

If you believe God knows the number of hairs on your head, every word before you speak it, and promises that nothing in all this world can ever separate you from His presence and His love…

You have available to you all you need!

“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

As your Maker, God knows you fully, there is nothing that comes into your day that God didn’t know about. He isn’t caught off guard by something someone said to you, by an accident that happened to you, by a diagnosis, or a financial loss.

Your Maker is your helper!

God has already been there, He has answers, solutions, and all the help you need and He wants you to draw near to Him so He can walk through it with you.

“God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.” Psalm 46:1

As a creation made by God you were never intended to fix yourself, solve your own problems, or find your answers from the world.

David understood this when he wrote Psalm 121,

I look up to the mountains—
does my help come from there?
My help comes from the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth!

He will not let you stumble;
the one who watches over you will not slumber.
Indeed, he who watches over Israel
    never slumbers or sleeps.

The Lord himself watches over you!
The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.
The sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon at night.

The Lord keeps you from all harm
    and watches over your life.
The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go,
    both now and forever.

God is for you, He is able to do exceedingly above and beyond all you could ever think or imagine! His resources are not limited to the things of this world, but are beyond your understanding and your ability! While the world may have answers, they only solve the symptoms, coving over the root issues.

God is more concerned with your heart than your situations because He knows that when your heart is changed your situations will change!

So, before you press that button in search of an answer, go to God. Get out your Bible and read of His great and precious promises. Read them out loud over yourself and your situation. Ask God what He has to say, and then listen for His answer!

Your Maker is your helper!
